Marquette Dining Services will host three Sodexo chefs from Germany and Poland on Monday, Feb. 11, from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at The Commons. Students, faculty and staff are invited to sample dishes from each chef.
- Chef Leszek Rulka from Poland is the executive chef at the National Stadium in Warsaw, Poland where he is responsible for high-end catering for events, concerts, sports matches and VIP boxes. Chef Rulka will prepare truffles with cottage cheese, walnut and onion jam.
- Chef Stefan Staats from Germany has served as sous chef, executive chef and kitchen manager in several large automotive and communications companies in Wuppertal and Dusseldorf Germany. Chef Staats will prepare Pike Perch (walleye) breaded with pretzel breadcrumbs.
- Chef Marcel Pohle from Germany is the executive chef for an environmental research center in the historic city of Leipzig, Germany. Chef Pohle will prepare bread dumplings with mushrooms in cream sauce.
