Marquette University mourns the death of James Arnold, professor emeritus in the Diederich College of Communication. Arnold died on Friday, Dec. 21, at the age of 89.
Arnold was a 1951 graduate of the Marquette University College of Journalism. He worked as a journalist for newspapers in Sacramento and Madera, California before beginning his career as a journalism and film professor. He started at Creighton University in Omaha before serving 35 years as a faculty member in the College of Communication at Marquette.
A Mass of Christian Burial was celebrated on Thursday, Jan. 3, in the Church of the Gesu. More information is online.
