The Graduate School will host its annual Three-Minute Thesis competition on Friday, Feb. 22, from 4 p.m. to 5:30 p.m. in the Weasler Auditorium. A reception will follow the competition.
This year, 11 graduate students will compete for a $1,000 prize by presenting their research in three minutes or less using one slide and no animation. There will be an array of presentations from various disciplines including mathematics, engineering, biological sciences, history, psychology, computational sciences and health sciences. The winner will represent Marquette University in a regional Three Minute Thesis competition at the Midwestern Association of Graduate Schools, March 20-22 in St. Louis.
The Three Minute Thesis entrants will be judged by Acting Provost Kimo Ah Yun, Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett, Marquette Trustee Kelly McShane, and Executive Director of Avenues West and the Near West Side Partners Keith Stanley.
The event is free and open to the public.
