Marquette’s first-year Army ROTC cadets and their high school shadows will learn the basics of first aid in treating casualties on Friday, Nov. 9, at 5:50 a.m. in the College of Nursing Simulation Lab, located in Clark Hall.
In the exercises, participants will learn first aid for evaluating a casualty, tactical combat casualty care and moving patients using equipment commonly found in the Army. Participants will be trained on use of Army litters (stretchers), nasopharyngeal airways insertion, and proper use of tourniquets and pressure bandages.
Faculty, staff and students are able to attend. Contact Kevin Griffith with questions.
