Construction crews have begun paving a new surface lot immediately west of the new Athletic and Human Performance Research Center, which is also under construction at the southwest corner of 12th Street and Wells Street.
Once construction on the AHPRC is complete, the university will begin issuing permits for the new lot — Lot D — with parking available to select university employees beginning in late-January or early-February. Permits for this premium location on campus will be charged a rate of $105 per month, the same as Lot G. The permitting process will be announced in Marquette Today later this semester.
For everyone’s safety, it is important to note that the lot will remain an active construction site until the AHPRC is open.
When the lot opens to Marquette faculty and staff, its surface will not be completely finished — it will be functional base asphalt with lighting and walkways. Final finish asphalt and landscaping will be completed in spring 2019.
Weather may affect the timeline for the parking lot project. Please watch Marquette Today for updates.
