Final presentations for the University Honors Program course, “A Mission to Mars” will take place on Tuesday, Dec. 4, from 3:30 p.m. to 5 p.m. in the Sensenbrenner Hall Eisenberg Reading Room.
At the event, students will present research on the challenges of safely sending humans to Mars. Presentations will explore the multitude of factors including rocket and habitat design, and the effects of micro-gravity and radiation all within the historical context of human exploration.
This interdisciplinary course is taught by:
- Dr. Andrew Kunz, Physics Department
- Dr. Kathleen Lukaszewicz, Physical Therapy Department
- Dr. Tim McMahon, History Department
