Marquette’s new eProcurement solution, which the university announced in early-October, will be known as MARQetplace. The eProcurement project team vetted dozens of naming suggestions and ultimately chose MARQetplace to represent the new system.
The new purchase-to-pay system, which will be implemented in early 2019, will provide university shoppers with online supplier catalogs and deliver more options for suppliers to invoice Marquette electronically. The result will be a much-improved buyer experience where purchases are made using an end-to-end procurement system that connects suppliers to Marquette, as well as a more efficient invoice entry and approval process.
The selection and implementation of an eProcurement tool helps fulfill the Beyond Boundaries strategic plan theme Sustainability of Valuable Resources.
