October is Respect Life Month, which provides an opportunity for the community to reflect on the gift of life, learn more about challenges and threats to human dignity and life, and dialogue with others on ways to promote the flourishing of human life from conception to natural death.
Released last January by the Jesuit Conference of Canada and the United States, Protecting the Least Among Us is a helpful dialogue resource that focuses on abortion and caring for vulnerable persons.
To commemorate Respect Life Month, a candlelight vigil for the unborn will be held on Thursday, Oct. 25, at 9 p.m. in Central Mall. All members of the Marquette community are invited to participate.
This prayer service is sponsored by Marquette for Life and Campus Ministry. For more information, please contact Steve Blaha, assistant director of Campus Ministry.
