Marquette Urban Scholars will host its third annual Fortunate Choices event on Thursday, Oct. 4, from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. in Coughlin Hall 125. Fortunate Choices is an event geared toward helping those battling cancer.
Urban Scholars is partnering with Children With Hair Loss, a nonprofit organization that provides children who have illness-related hair loss with a wig at no cost.
Due to the minimum hair donation of eight inches, participants are encouraged to donate at least eight inches of hair or $8 if they do not have the length, however all donations are appreciated. Chemically treated hair is accepted.
Food and beverages will be provided. There will be games with prizes throughout the event. If interested, please contact Fortunate Choices Marquette or donate to the GoFundMe page.
