Marquette Momentum: New Henke Terrace adds outdoor innovation space to 707 Hub [slideshow]

October 10, 2018

The university on Friday, Oct. 5, celebrated the grand opening of the Henke Terrace, a new outdoor courtyard and patio connected to the 707 Hub, the university’s innovation, entrepreneurship and maker space. The new area offers an array of flexible seating options in an open, yet cozy setting designed to provide an inspirational and convivial environment for collaboration and ideation.

The Henke Terrace is made possible by a generous donation from Trustee Emerita Mary Henke.

  • Dr. Jeanne Hossenlopp, vice president for research and innovation, with Trustee Emerita Mary Henke.
  • President Michael R. Lovell addresses the crowd at the grand opening event.
  • Coach Steve Wojciechowski and the men's basketball team with Trustee Emerita Mary Henke. The Henke Terrace is adjacent to the Al McGuire Center, the team's home.
  • Trustee Emerita Mary Henke and Rev. Nicky Santos, S.J., bless the new space.
  • Megan Carver, associate director of the Kohler Center for Entrepreneurship, and Kelsey Otero, associate director of social innovation, co-lead the 707 Hub innovation space.
