The Center for the Advancement of the Humanities, under the direction of Dr. James South, associate dean for faculty and professor of philosophy in the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, officially opened its doors in fall 2017. Created in collaboration with faculty, staff and university leaders, including President Michael R. Lovell, Provost Dan Myers, Dean Doug Woods of the Graduate School and Dean Richard Holz of the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, the center aims to promote the humanities to Marquette and the surrounding community.
