IT Services is hosting a giveaway for National Cyber Security Awareness Month. Securing the internet is a shared responsibility. Upgrade your security software and pick up a free STOP. THINK. CONNECT folding frisbee from the IT Services Help Desk in Cudahy Hall.
Remember:
- STOP, make sure security measures are in place.
- THINK about the consequences of your actions and behaviors online.
- CONNECT and enjoy the internet.
Cybersecurity training is available for all Marquette University faculty and staff. Topics include recognizing social engineering, browsing safely, enhancing mobile security and creating strong passwords.
Symantec software is free to download for home use. It protects your computer from viruses, trojans, worms and malicious spyware. Be sure to uninstall any other security software (McAfee, ForeFront, Norton, etc.) before installing Symantec.
Marquette VPN uses multi-factor authentication for a more secure connection from anywhere. Use it off campus to connect to campus-restricted resources, including MyJob.
