The Marquette Core Curriculum (MCC) committee invites all interested faculty to learn more about teaching in CORE 1929/1929H Methods of Inquiry (MOI) and meet other faculty interested in this class by attending an MOI brainstorming and networking happy hour at the Annex on Thursday, Nov. 1 at 4 p.m.
The MCC launched this fall with a small number of pilot sections of MOI and will be expanded substantially in 2019–20 academic year. The MOI is a three-credit course taught by teams of three faculty from different disciplines. This course offers students the first opportunity to explore a particular topic within the MCC in an explicitly multidisciplinary setting in advance of, and in preparation for, explorations in the MCC Discovery Tier.
At the Nov. 1 event, faculty will learn more about the course design and hear from instructors currently teaching an MOI. There will also be time to brainstorm MOI topic ideas and connect with other faculty. Appetizers will be served; there will be a cash bar.
