The Office of Marketing and Communication has released a link that will allow users to preview a redesigned version of the marquette.edu homepage.
Led by OMC’s interactive marketing team, the project required comprehensive research on the user experience in order to improve the site’s usability and design. Based on the study that included students, 22 referent universities and non-higher ed vertical markets, they defined a platform with three main goals:
1) Grab attention; leave the right impression.
2) Show who we are and what allows us to Be The Difference.
3) Provide a clear, cohesive message for prospective students.
OMC refined the beta page after engaging two design firms to assist with the look and feel. A sneak peek is now available online. A link has also been posted to the current marquette.edu homepage.
OMC is welcoming feedback on the demo at this time; there is a form (located at the bottom of the page below the footer) where users can offer comments and suggestions. Based on the feedback, the beta page will be iterated until 75 percent positive feedback is received — a full launch will follow.
