In recent weeks, the search committee for the chief of the Marquette University Police Department held a series of listening sessions with a broad range of constituents from the campus and neighborhood communities. Thank you to everyone who participated in the listening sessions and for the input that you provided on the search website. The thoughtful insights and perspectives that we received informed the Opportunity and Challenge Profile that the search committee created for this important leadership position. If you would like a nominate a candidate, please do so on the search website or by contacting one of us directly. We are committed to attracting a talented and diverse applicant pool.
Later this fall, we plan to invite finalists to visit campus where they will have the opportunity to meet students, faculty, and staff as well as members of the Near West Side neighborhood. Know that the search committee is committed to identifying a talented leader to be the next chief of MUPD. If you have questions about any aspect of the search, please feel free to contact either one of us.
Sincerely,
Rana Altenburg, vice president for public affairs
