The Marquette University Physical Therapy Clinic is hosting a Parkinson’s exercise group from Sept. 7 to Nov. 16. The group will focus on Parkinson’s Wellness Recovery (PWR) — an exercise program developed specifically for people with Parkinson’s Disease, targeting common issues like rigidity, balance deficits, freezing of gait, coordination issues and mobility deficits. The research-based program aims to slow disease progression, improve symptoms, restore function and increase quality of life.
Length: 10 weeks, each Friday from Sept. 7 to Nov. 16 (no class on Oct. 5)
Time: 1 p.m. to 2 p.m.
Cost: $105
