Marquette University has established a formal partnership with McHenry County College, an Illinois community college in McHenry County, to better serve transfer students and facilitate the transfer process. This guaranteed admission agreement allows qualifying students to plan their transfer in advance by drawing on Marquette advising resources to ensure a smooth transition, earn valuable transfer scholarships to help bring down the cost of attendance, and be guaranteed admission to nearly any Marquette undergraduate program. Marquette Provost Dr. Dan Myers, McHenry Vice President of Academic and Student Affairs Dr. Chris Gray, and McHenry President Dr. Clinton E. Gabbard signed the guaranteed admission agreement.
McHenry County College is located in Crystal Lake, IL with approximately 8,500 enrolled students. McHenry offers various degree programs. Students that follow McHenry’s Associate of Arts or Associate of Science degree option can earn an AA or AS while also earning many transferable credits towards a Marquette bachelor’s degree.
Marquette University offers a guaranteed admission option to students from four community colleges in the region; College of Lake County (IL), Milwaukee Area Technical College (WI), City Colleges of Chicago (IL), and now, McHenry County College (IL). All are examples of Marquette’s efforts to provide clear pathways for student transfer from community colleges.
Marquette continues to identify strategic transfer partnerships with community colleges around the country. More information can be found online.
