In the ever-changing environment of new technological solutions to problems faced by industry, government and consumers, cybersecurity is gaining increasing attention and importance. The digital transformations that are happening in the ways we operate businesses and live our everyday lives demand changes in the traditional data and systems protection mechanisms.
Join us Tuesday, May 1, at 1 p.m. in the Eisenberg Reading Room in Sensenbrenner Hall for an event highlighting a risk-based approach from one of the leading enterprises in cybersecurity solutions. The Mathematics, Statistics and Computer Science department invites you to a talk by Alexander Schlager, executive director of security services for global products and solutions at Verizon.
Schlager leads Verizon’s Security Services product organization. His background in computer sciences, telecommunications and business administration enabled him to cover a wide range of disciplines in ICT. His 20 years of experience include application development, infrastructure operations, design and implementation of near and offshore operational models, management of global outsourcing programs as well as sales and service management.
Schlager joined Verizon in 2012 as country manager for the DACH region; and prior to that held various positions at T-Systems and Cisco.
