The 2nd internship poster session will take place Tuesday, May 15, from 2:30 p.m. to 3:30 p.m. at the Global Water Center. Interns from Milwaukee Marshall High School will present posters on their research focused on reducing contaminant concentrations in drinking water.
This program aims to train high school students, who are historically underrepresented in environmental engineering. In addition to raising drinking water quality awareness, the high school program creates a robust pipeline of students pursuing water technical careers by affording them the opportunity to intern at the Global Water Center.
The event is made possible by funding from the Marquette Innovation Grant, “Environmental Sustainability: Increasing Underrepresented Student Research in the Field of Environmental Engineering.”
