On Sunday, April 8, at the 6 p.m. Mass at the Church of the Gesu, members of the Marquette community will receive the sacraments of Christian Initiation. Rev. Thomas Anderson, S.J., assistant director of Campus Ministry, will preside. Four candidates will complete their initiation by receiving the sacraments of Confirmation and 1st Eucharist, six candidates will complete their initiation by receiving the sacrament of Confirmation, and three candidates will be received into full communion with the Catholic Church and will receive Confirmation and 1st Eucharist.
These candidates have spent this year growing in Catholic, Christian faith through either the Rite of Christian Initiation process or Confirmation program sponsored by Campus Ministry. All members of the Marquette community are invited to attend the mass and the reception immediately afterwards in support of these students and community members.
