William O’Rourke, J.D., member of the Ethics Advisory Council for the HealthCare Group Purchasing Initiative and on the Board of Directors at John Carroll University, will present “Leading with Integrity,” on Monday, April 9, at 5 p.m. in Straz Hall 105.
In his 37 year career at Alcoa, Inc. O’Rourke has served in a variety of leadership roles including corporate patent counsel, asst. general counsel, vice president of procurement, vice president and corporate auditor, vice president of global business services, vice president of environment, health, safety and sustainability, chief information officer, president Alcoa-Russia, and served on the board for the Alcoa Foundation. In recent years he has acted as an advisor and coach in the area of business ethics.
O’Rourke co-authored “The Power of Ethics,” (2015) with Pete Geissler and “The Business Ethics Field Guide,” (2016) with Brad Agle and Aaron Miller.
During the presentation he will discuss specific ethical dilemmas from his long career at Alcoa and challenge students to consider how they would react in these situations.
