Marquette Forum and the College of Nursing will host “The Complexity and Tragedy of the Opioid Epidemic: A Nurse’s Perspective,” on Monday, March 19, at 5:30 p.m. to 7 p.m. in AMU Monaghan Ballrooms.
The event will include a keynote address delivered by Dr. Alfredo Gonzalez, a facilitated Q&A with a community responder panel and refreshments.
Dr. Gonzalez’s presentation will provide a brief history of opiates, an overview of his health care experiences within the current situation, a description of treatment approaches, and a discussion of how to move forward.
Parking is available for a nominal fee in the 16th Street Parking Structure located at 749 North 16th Street or the Wells Street Structure located at 1240 West Wells Street.
