The Center for Cyber Security Awareness and Cyber Defense will host two new interdisciplinary events for faculty, staff, and students.
Those with business management or technology interests should consider attending Cyber Risks, Trends, and Predictions on Friday, April 13, from 8 a.m. to 11 a.m. in the Marquette Raynor Conference Center. The event will feature expert consultants with broad perspectives on these topics in a panel format discussion.
The second event will be the Ethics of Big Data Symposium on Friday, April 27, from 8 a.m. to noon at Northwestern Mutual in Milwaukee. Speakers will discuss legal privacy, contrasting government concerns on privacy (EU-GDPR, US and China), and a code of ethics for Data Science. These subjects are timely because GDPR is looming and incidents like the UBER accident left a pedestrian dead.
More information on these events is available online.
