The one day, Social Justice in Action Conference, will be held Saturday, Feb. 17, in the AMU Monaghan Ballrooms. The event is meant to help participants explore their role in affecting social change, especially in the context of a Jesuit institution.
The conference will provide both entry-level discussions around allyship, privilege, service, and social justice issues, as well as more advanced skill-building for students who identify as advocates and activists. Everyone is welcome to attend. If you have been involved in service, if you care about inequality, if you want Marquette to be an inclusive community, if you are an experienced activist, or if you just want to learn more, students of all levels of involvement are welcome. The event is free and includes breakfast and lunch.
Registration should be completed online by Friday, Feb. 9 so an accurate headcount for meals and setup can be ensured.
The Social Justice in Action Conference is hosted by The Office of Student Development, Community Engagement, Intercultural Engagement, Campus Ministry, Service Learning, Counseling Center, and the Center for Community Service.
Questions should be directed to Kelly Walker.
