“History Harvest,” an oral history event on preserving stories from 1967 will take place on Friday, March 9, from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Two listening posts will be set up where participants can share and record their stories with a professional archivist and have it added to Marquette’s University Archives. No appointment is necessary.
The goal of this event is to illuminate the many ways Marquette’s community members were connected to this important chapter of Milwaukee and civil rights history and to preserve their narratives for posterity. It is one of several similar events hosted this winter by Milwaukee’s 200 Nights of Freedom organization.
