Global Mobility Outreach or BIEN 4931, is a new course that will be offered this spring semester as part of the international program at Marquette. The hour-long course will focus on motion analysis system operation and provides training for teams to join global colleagues while immediately contributing to the analysis effort. The program also includes a one week rotation to a lab in Manila, Philippines this May.
Training will be provided to operate the system by Dr. Gerald Harris and Dr. Jacob Rammer in the OREC Lab, 3rd floor of the Olin Engineering Building. Rotations overseas (Manila, Philippines) will provide supervised, on site experiences for one week where students will operate the same system to assist in the clinical analysis of gait in children.
This class is open to all undergraduate students on campus and all departments within the college. Contact Mary Wesley, office associate in the Opus College of Engineering, at (414) 288-3375 for a permission number to register.
For more information or questions contact Dr. Gerald Harris, professor of biomedical engineering, director of the Orthopaedic & Rehabilitation Engineering Center, and co-director for the Center for Motion Analysis at MCW.
