
Dr. Nadine Burke Harris to speak on campus, Feb. 10
Marquette University, in partnership with REDgen and Boswell Books, will host Dr. Nadine Burke Harris, pioneering physician, author and founder/chief executive officer of the Center for Youth Wellness, on Saturday, Feb. 10, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in the Varsity Theatre.
Dr. Burke Harris will discuss her book “The Deepest Well: Healing the Long-Term Effects of Childhood Adversity.” She has been hailed as a pioneer in the treatment of toxic stress and her work has earned her the Arnold P. Gold Foundation Humanism in Medicine Award presented by the American Academy of Pediatrics and the Heinz Award for the Human Condition.
A Q&A session and book signing will be held following her talk. Books will also be available for purchase.
