Dr. Joshua Burns, associate professor of theology, has been selected as a finalist for the 2017 Jordan Schnitzer Book Award. His book The Christian Schism in Jewish History and Jewish Memory is nominated under the Philosophy and Jewish Thought category.
The competition, which had more than 100 submissions this year, was judged according to category by a committee of expert scholars in each field. Finalists receive a $2,000 prize and will receive their awards at a ceremony at the 49th annual AJS Conference in Washington, D.C. on Sunday, Dec. 17.
