Faculty who are interested in learning more about and contributing their ideas to the Marquette online initiative are invited to a listening session on Wednesday, Nov. 29, from 3 p.m. to 4:30 p.m. in AMU 227. Dr. Gary Meyer, senior vice provost, and Dr. Shaun Longstreet, director of the Center for Teaching and Learning, will facilitate and gather information at this session.
One of the initiatives that will help the university achieve Beyond Boundaries is the building out of a robust portfolio of online graduate programs and more diverse digital learning opportunities to a broader range of students seeking a Marquette education. Meyer and Longstreet will outline the growing infrastructure and support systems that will help both faculty and students as the university continues to grow online education in line with Marquette’s Catholic, Jesuit values. Following that, break-out groups will discuss the opportunities and pathways faculty see for online education. Attendees will also be asked for suggestions as to how Marquette can address possible challenges they foresee as Marquette’s online programs grow.
Online registration is required by Wednesday, Nov. 22.
Please contact Meyer or Longstreet with questions.
