The Division of Student Affairs will offer a two-day diversity advocate training on Monday, Dec. 18, and Tuesday, Dec. 19, from 8:15 a.m. to noon each day. The training will total 8 hours.
This interactive workshop is designed to develop awareness, knowledge and skills around various diversity and social justice topics, including social identities, prejudice and bias, stereotypes and microaggressions, discrimination, oppression, power and privilege and advocacy/ allyship.
Those interested in participating, RSVP to Nicolas Jenkins, counselor and mental health advocate, no later than 4:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 15.
