In the spring semester of 2018, the Center for the Advancement of the Humanities will host a semester-long reading group devoted to reading Gilles Deleuze and Félix Guattari’s Anti-Oedipus: Capitalism and Schizophrenia.
Although the text was published in 1972, its project is applicable to our political moment and can contribute much to one’s own research interests. This group is open to interested faculty and students from any college or department.
It requires no background in critical theory, broadly defined, but any such preparation is helpful. Times, dates, and meeting frequency will be determined by those who participate. If interested, or for more information, contact Michael Wert in the history department at michael.wert@marquette.edu
