The Graduate School will host its second annual Three Minute Thesis competition on Friday, Feb. 23, in the Weasler Auditorium.
This unique academic competition, founded by the University of Queensland in Australia, is open to all graduate students currently working on a dissertation or thesis and can effectively explain their research in three minutes to a panel of judges and a general audience.
Eligibility requirements and event details are as follows:
- Registrants must be enrolled during the spring semester of 2018 and must compete in a preliminary qualifying round scheduled for Friday, Feb. 2, or Friday, Feb. 9, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- 10 finalists will be chosen by the judges to compete in the final round to take place on Friday, Feb. 23 in the Weasler Auditorium.
- Past winners are not eligible to compete.
Registration to compete must be completed online by Tuesday, Jan. 16.
