Dr. Kenneth Mayer, professor of American politics at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, will present “Making Sense of Partisan Gerrymandering: Gill v Whitford and Beyond,” on Tuesday, Oct. 24, from 5 p.m. to 6:30 p.m. in Cudahy Hall 001.
Mayer will discuss the landmark Gill v. Whitford case on partisan gerrymandering. The case, currently before the U.S. Supreme Court, has significant implications for how electoral democracy works in Wisconsin and around the country.
The event is sponsored by the Klingler College of Arts and Sciences, Department of Political Science and the Department of Mathematics, Statistics, and Computer Science.
