The 2017 Foundations in Wisconsin directory is now available through Raynor Memorial Libraries. The 36th edition provides grant seekers with up-to-date, authoritative information on more than 1,225 private, corporate, and community philanthropies registered in the state of Wisconsin.
In addition to its listings, the directory also provides a snapshot of philanthropic giving in Wisconsin. This past year, grants made by Wisconsin foundations increased 12 percent to $701 million. Milwaukee County alone paid out more than $283 million in grants during the year.
For grant seekers in the Marquette community, Foundations in Wisconsin is available free of charge as a searchable online directory. For grant seekers outside the university, it is available for purchase in either the online format or in print.
The directory is produced annually by Raynor Memorial Libraries’ Funding Information Center, located on the first floor of Raynor Library. The only one of its kind in Wisconsin, the center provides valuable information and assistance to grant seekers at Marquette and across the state.
More information about Foundations in Wisconsin and the Funding Information Center can be found online, or by contacting Mary Frenn, funding information librarian for the libraries/research and instructional services, at (414) 288-1995.
