The Women’s Innovation Network, a new initiative housed in the 707 Hub, is designed to encourage diversity in innovation and entrepreneurship activities. They will host a screening and panel discussion on the film, Hidden Figures, Friday, Sept. 15, at 1 p.m. in the 707 Hub.
Come enjoy this powerful movie that tells the story of a team of female African-American mathematicians who served a vital role in NASA during the early years of the U.S. space program. Hidden Figures was chosen because it clearly illustrates the spirit of innovation and determination that WIN hopes to inspire and encourage. Even if you have seen the movie, join the conversation after the screening, at approximately 3:45 p.m. to discuss the issues addressed in the film and meet our inspiring panelists as they share their experiences and coping strategies.
