Paul Anderson, professor of law and director of the National Sports Law Institute at Marquette, will present “Title IX at 45: An Introduction to and Review of the Education Law that Shaped Sports,” on Wednesday, Sept. 20, at noon in the Lubar Center located on the first floor of Eckstein Hall.
The presentation is in commemoration of the 45th anniversary of the passage of Title IX and will provide an overview of the law and how it has been developed, molded, and clarified in ways that have impacted the sports industry. In order to provide lawyers, athletic administrators, law students and others with a basic understanding of the law, this presentation will focus on a select group of the 45 developments listed online.
This event is open to all students, faculty, staff and alumni, as well as all other interested Marquette personnel. Registration must be completed online by Friday, Sept. 15.
