Dr. James Staley, professor emeritus of microbiology at the University of Washington-Seattle, will present the Oliver H. Smith Lecture entitled, “Evolution of Bacteria, Eukarya and Archaea and the Domain Cell Theory,” on Friday, Sept. 29, at 3 p.m.
The presentation is part of the Scholl Seminar Series, which is put on throughout the semester by the Department of Biological Sciences. The seminars are held on Friday afternoons in Wehr Life Sciences 111. Prior to each seminar, refreshments will be served in Wehr Life Sciences 108.
