A hurricane relief drive for those affected by Hurricane Maria in Puerto Rico will take place Saturday, Sept. 30, from 9:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. outside of the AMU. 100 percent of the island is powerless, many have lost access to water and thousands have lost their homes.
Supplies needed are:
- Baby care
- Batteries (D or double AA)
- Battery powered fans
- Blankets
- Bottled water
- Can openers
- Canned food
- Canned milk
- Cleaning supplies
- Deodorant
- Duct tape
- Feminine care products
- First Aid Kits (Band-aids, Neosporin etc)
- Flashlights
- Gas lamps
- Hand sanitizer
- Lysol/Clorox wipes Medicines (acetaminophen, antihistamine, triple antibiotic, hydrocortisone)
- Mosquito repellent
- Non-perishable foods
- Paper towels
- Pillows
- Portable cellphone chargers
- Radios
- Shampoo and soap
- Toilet paper
- Toothpaste and toothbrushes
- Towels
In addition to collecting supplies on Saturday, donations are also being accepted online.
