Recently, our university received very sad news that I need to share with you. One of our students, Chenxu Ma, has died in a car accident while home for the summer in China. Chenxu was a junior in the College of Arts and Sciences, majoring in Economics.
Times like this are a reminder that our Marquette family extends around the globe. During difficult times such as this, we ask our family to come together as one.
To those who were fortunate enough to call Chenxu a friend, we offer our support. Our Office of International Education, Counseling Center and Campus Ministry are available for students. Our university leadership team and Jesuit staff are working with Chenxu’s family to offer our support and resources. Even if you did not have an opportunity to meet him during the far too brief time he spent on our campus, please take a moment today to keep his family and friends in your thoughts and prayers.
We extend our deepest sympathies to Chenxu’s family and friends for their loss.
