Parking Services will implement a new system in Parking Structure 2 starting the week of July 10 and Structure 1 starting the week of July 17. Parkers in these structures will no longer get a sticker for their car. Instead, they will be given a hangtag that will automatically open the gate when they pull up. Starting in July, visitor parkers will pay for parking as they exit the structures.
- Monday, July 10, and Tuesday, July 11: Kilbourn Ave. entry/exit plaza will be closed. No permit or visitor parkers can enter or exit Structure 2 via the Kilbourn Ave. entry/exit plaza. Please proceed to the Wells St. entry/exit plaza when the Kilbourn Ave. entry/exit plaza is closed. During the weekday morning hours of 7 a.m. to 10 a.m., the exit lane on the Wells St. side will not serve as an entrance lane.
- Wednesday, July 12, and Thursday, July 13: Wells St. entry/exit plaza will be closed. No permit or visitor parkers can enter or exit via the Wells St. entry/exit plaza. Please proceed to the Kilbourn Ave. entry/exit plaza when the Wells St. entry/exit plaza is closed.
- Friday, July 14: Will be used as a day to finish the project if needed – an alert will be sent on July 13 regarding which entry/exit plaza will be available for parkers to use on Friday, July 14.
The new hangtags for summer parkers will be available for pickup at the Parking Services Office in Structure 2 on Wells. St starting the week of July 10. For those who will purchase parking for the 2017-18 academic year, hangtags will be available for pickup at the Parking Services Office in Structure 2 on Wells. St in late August.
