The 2017 Marquette University Community Engagement Symposium, “Deepening Partnerships in Pursuit of Social Justice,” will be held Monday, Nov. 6, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Dr. Timothy Eatman, from Rutgers University will deliver the keynote address. Dr. Eatman is a social scientist, educator, and publicly engaged scholar. He serves as the inaugural dean of the Honors Living Learning Community at Rutgers. More information about Dr. Eatman can be found online.
Additionally, the Call for Proposals for the symposium is officially open. The university seeks proposals for sessions or posters that illuminate best practices in cultivating “deep partnerships,” community-based research, and community-based learning pedagogies, in pursuit of social justice.
