The Division of Student Affairs will offer a two-day diversity advocate training on Thursday, May 18, and Friday, May 19, from 8:15 a.m. to noon each day. The training will total 8 hours.
This interactive workshop is designed to develop awareness, knowledge and skills around various diversity and social justice topics, including social identities, prejudice and bias, stereotypes and microagressions, discrimination, oppression, power and privilege and advocacy/ allyship.
Those interested in participating, RSVP to Nicolas Jenkins, counselor and mental health advocate, no later than 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 16.
