The University Academic Senate approved proposed changes to the Core of Common Studies at its meeting on Monday, April 10. The proposed revised core will now be reviewed by Marquette President Michael R. Lovell, Provost Dan Myers and the University Board of Trustees. The success of this revision process is result of the collaborative efforts of faculty, students and staff from across campus. Details on the revised core can be found on the core revision website.
The new core will launch in fall of 2018. Work will now begin on the process of implementation. Provost Myers will announce implementation committees in the coming weeks. To jump-start the implementation process, faculty and staff are invited to a kick-off event on Wednesday, April 26, at 4 p.m. in the AMU Annex.
