A professor of Assyriology from Yale will discuss “The Rape of Clio: History, Memory and the Cultural Heritage Crisis in the Middle East” during the 16th annual Rev. Henry W. Casper, S.J., Lecture on Monday, April 3, at 5 p.m. in Olin Engineering Hall, Room 202.
Dr. Eckart Frahm specializes in Assyrian and Babylonian literature, culture and history in the first millennium, B.C. and has authored five books on the topics.
The lecture will be followed by a reception in the Engineering Hall atrium, and a special MARVL (visualization lab) 3D recreation of some of the ruins discussed in the lecture.
