Dr. Ploutz-Snyder, dean of the School of Kinesiology and professor of movement science at the University of Michigan, will present “A human mission to Mars? Physiologic barriers to long duration spaceflight,” on Tuesday, April 11, at 3:30 p.m. in Emory Clark, Room 111.
Ploutz-Snyder was senior head exercise physiologist at NASA until July 2016. Her research is focused on the neuromuscular changes that occur with immobilization and space flight. She will be available for meetings on Monday, April 10, from 2 p.m. to 5 p.m. and Tuesday, April 11, until 2:30 p.m.
The presentation is part of the Clinical and Translational Rehabilitation Health Sciences Program seminar series and Marquette Honors program seminar.
