February is Black History Month and the Office of Intercultural Engagement is hosting several events for Marquette faculty, staff and students to celebrate.
Some of the upcoming events include:
- A screening of the film Bound: Africans vs. African-Americans on Wednesday, Feb. 15, at 6 p.m. in the Weasler Auditorium.
- All Black Lives Matter, an event to discuss the marginalization of women and LGBTQ+ individuals in the black community, on Thursday, Feb. 16, from 6:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. in AMU 163.
- A black faculty and staff reception on Thursday, Feb. 23, from 4:30 p.m. to 6 p.m. in the AMU Lunda Room.
- Screenings of the film Loving on Friday, Feb. 24, at 8 p.m. and Saturday, Feb. 25, at 8 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. in the Varsity Theatre.
