The College of Health Sciences’ next Marquette Presents breakfast forum will be held Thursday, Feb. 23, from 7:15 a.m. to 9:30 a.m. in the AMU, Monaghan Ballrooms. The topic is “The Zika Virus: Myths and Facts.” A continental breakfast will be provided.
Each year, thousands of college students travel the world during their spring break vacations. Those traveling to areas in South America, Central America, the Caribbean and Jamaica may have concerns about the Zika virus. While many of the travel warnings have been lifted, the World Health Organization says the virus still poses a significant problem. A number of experts will address the causes of the virus, symptoms of the disease and how to stay protected when traveling to an affected country.
The event is free but registration is required.
