The Marquette community is invited to join the Division of Student Affairs and the Office of Intercultural Engagement on Tuesday, Jan. 31, for the grand re-opening ceremony and open house for the LGBTQ+ Resource Center. The ceremony will take place from 10 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. on the first floor of the AMU in the Student Involvement Commons area, with the open house and reception to follow from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. in the LGBTQ+ Resource Center, AMU 140.
This grand re-opening ceremony is a celebration of collaborations that made possible new renovations to the LGBTQ+ Resource Center in 2016-17 and recognition of the individuals responsible for its establishment in Fall 2015.
At the ceremony, Dr. Dan Myers, provost; Dr. Xavier Cole, vice president of student affairs; Adam Kouhel, MUSG president; and staff members from the Office of Intercultural Engagement and the LGBTQ+ Resource Center will speak on the importance of this space for our students and the Marquette community. The student a cappella group, The Naturals, will perform as well.
