The Graduate School will host the first annual Three Minute Thesis competition on Friday, Feb. 24. 3MT® is a global research communication competition developed by The University of Queensland in Australia. This is a competitive event open to doctoral and master’s degree students currently completing a dissertation or thesis. The competition will give students the opportunity to demonstrate the important research they have conducted, all in lay terms, to an audience and a panel of judges, in three minutes or less. The winner of the competition will receive a prize and be chosen to represent Marquette University in a regional competition at Midwest Association of Graduate Schools in April of 2017.
More information is listed on the 3MT® webpage. For further information about this event, contact Ida McConnell, event coordinator and assistant director for student development and alumni relations.
Exact dates, times, and locations will be announced in the upcoming month.
