Marquette’s College of Nursing on Thursday, Nov. 10, dedicated its new Pleasant Prairie location where students can earn an accelerated master’s in nursing degree in as few as 18 months. Nearly 70 people, including prospective students, attended the ceremony, which began with a reception and tours of the facility, followed by remarks and a brief program.
The expansion of the college’s Master of Science in Nursing, Second Degree Direct Entry for Non-Nurses program allows students to earn a master’s degree through a combination of online coursework and hands-on labs and in-hospital clinical rotations. The first cohort began in September. Located strategically between Milwaukee and Chicago, the Pleasant Prairie student learning center boasts a state-of-the-art simulation lab and lecture rooms.
